Wrightwood is a census-designated place located in San Bernardino County, California. As people visit this small yet peaceful village, Wrightwood is still not a city. It lies in the unincorporated region in San Bernardino and lies just 2 miles east of Angeles National Forest bordering Los Angeles County. Just west of Wrightwood is Mountain High Resort, which is a ski/snowboard resort consisting of three mountains. Visited by nearby residents of San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Orange County, it is the nearest ski resort in Southern California and often the most visited in the nation.

Just west from the City of Wrightwood there is Mountain High Resort, which is a ski/snowboard resort consisting of Three Mountains. It is frequented by residents of nearby Los Angeles and its metropolitan area, as it is the nearest ski resort to the conurbation. Because of this, Mountain High has become the most visited resort in Southern California.
The Wrightwood Music Festival is an annual music festival with performances held over the Labor Day Weekend in Wrightwood, CA at Vivian Null Park. The festival was founded in 2005 with the intention of giving the people of Wrightwood a summer music event in the evenings and to provide free quality entertainment in a unique and beautiful mountain setting. It also provides an opportunity to showcase new styles of music not usually seen in the regular venues around town. The festival features local, regional, and national acts performing on its Main Stage and Singer-Songwriter stages. In addition to two days of non-stop music, the festival has local crafts and food vendors on site.
Things to do in Wrightwood
Take a stroll in the village or take a hike in the local mountains. Activities ranging from shopping to off-roading and even snow play can be found here in many months throughout the year.

Mountain High Resort - Attraction Type: Snowboard Ski Area; Ski Area.
Mountain High North Pole - Attraction Type: Tubing Park; Family Recreation Area.
Camping & Day Use Recreational Sites:
Lake Campground: This campground is located approximately 10 miles west of Wrightwood, CA along Los Angeles County road N-4 adjacent to Jackson Lake. Amenities include camp host, fire rings, firewod, grills, hiking, nature trails, sightseeing, vault toilet, and water. This campsite is first-come, first-serve and reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
Mountain Oak: Mountain Oak is located approximately 10 miles west of Wrightwood, CA, along Los Angeles County Road N-4 adjacent to Jackson Lake.
Jackson Lake: Located 10 miles west of Wrightwood, CA. This site has picnic tables available for use and campsites adjacent to this location. Fishing, picnics, canoes, and hiking in this area is very common.
Table Mountain Campground: This facility hosts vault toilets, paved spurs, fire pits, water spigots every 6 sites, some grills, and bear boxes. Temperatures during the summer are in the low 80's and very cool during the evenings. Activities in this area include sightseeing, hiking, picnicking, and nature study.
Bighorn Mine: A historical wagon road, mine shaft and also an old stamp mill, this location offers nice views and is very easy to reach on foot. Definitely worth the afternoon for this trip. 2.5 miles. To get there, take Highway 2 through Angeles Forest to the Vincent Gap.

Hiking Trails
Silver Moccasin Trail - (Moderate - Strenuous) 53mi. This trail ends near Wrightwood at the Vincent Gap on the Angeles Crest Highway near Wrightwood.
Dawson Saddle Trail - This is an intermediate trail that is 4 miles total round trip. Small elevation gain throughout the whole trail and easily managable for moderate to experienced hikers. This trail starts 15 miles west of Wrightwood and the trail can be found right before Dawson Saddle parking lot on the side on highway 2.
Blue Ridge Trail - 4 Mile round trip, this trail can be found 3.7 miles west of Wrightwood along highway 2. A sign designating this trail should be found along highway 2 and parking can be found alongside the dirt road.
Pacific Crest Trail - This trail leaves near Grassy Hollow visitor center just 2.5 miles west of Wrightwood village.
