Welcome to Bear Mountain Cabins

Bear Mountain is a mountain located in the Klamath Mountains in California. The mountain rises to an elevation of 6,411 feet (1,954 m) on the Del Norte-Siskiyou county border. Despite its modest elevation, Bear Mountain is the county highpoint of Del Norte County. A cirque named Devil's Punchbowl containing a tarn is located on the mountain's north side. Due to its location near the Pacific Ocean, the mountain get tremendous snowfall during the winter.

Formerly known as Goldmine Mountain, Bear Mountain is a popular ski area in Southern California. It is the sister resort of Snow Summit, together known as Big Bear Mountain Resorts. Bear Mountain is also known as "The Park" because most of the runs contain terrain features. The mountain is home to the only Superpipe in Southern California. Unlike Snow Summit, if there is enough natural snow, the tree runs are open for skiing and snowboarding. Even the "out of bounds" territory off of Chair 8 has been opened after a snow storm. Bear Mountain was the home mountain of Shaun White when he was growing up.
